We fell in love with this place because of its mild climate and the nature of the land itself, its fertile plains alternating with steep hills.

We respect the terroir by using non-invasive wine making tecniques which we acquired through years of experience. To preserve the land is our main priority and doing so with labour and innovation is our goal. The Gritti estate thrives to maintain a high standard of quality and create an exciting range of wines and oil through experimentation.

Malvasia White Wine

Vinification

The grapes are macerated (left on the skins) for eight hours in a horizontal press. Afterwards the must is cleared by natural settling. The wine is fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel vats at low temperature 16-18°C.

Vinification

Macerazione delle uve sulle bucce per almeno 15 giorni a temperatura controllata in acciaio inox; maturazione per quattro mesi in tonneaux di rovere francese.

Vinification

Fermentation on the skins for around 16-18 days in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. Aged in large (4000 litre) oak vats for 12 months.

Vinification

Fermentation on the skins for around 12-15 days in temperature controlled stainless steel vats, matured for some months in stainless steel tanks.

Vinification

The grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard and fermented in stainless steel at 26°C. The wine is gently pressed and aged for several months in French oak barriques that are in their second or third year of use.

Vinification

Fermentation on the skins for around 16-18 days in temperature controlled stainless steel vats. Aged for 20 months in French oak barriques from the Allier forest.

Vinification

The grapes are air dried on racks for more than two months. Lightly pressed, the grape juice is put in small oak barrels (80-100 litres) and left to ferment for 60 months while the wine slowly clears through natural settling. The beautiful amber colour of this wine is obtained without filtration, there may be a natural sediment.
